Motor-Bike Tour

Overview

For the adventurer in you, we have designed the motor bike tour to give you a glimpse of natural beauty of India. Not only are you going to explore India in its natural rawness, you’ll be visiting the real India that predominately lives in its villages. Riding motor bikes within narrow passes, hilly areas and grasslands quenches the thirst of the wanderer in you.

This 15 day motor bike tour will start from Chandigarh and will end in Leh.

Tour Itinerary
  • Day 01:

    Way To Shimla


    The day starts with arrival at Chandigarh airport/station and then travel to Shimla by car. The guide will brief about the formalities and permits required for the tour and assist you in completing them. Then it is overnight stay at Shimla.

  • Day 02:

    Heritage Walk, Shimla


    The day will start with finding the correct and comfortable ride for the individual and test driving. Evening is free to explore the beautiful Shimla followed by overnight stay at the hotel.

  • Day 03:

    Bhimakali Temple


    The day starts with a bike ride of 170 kilometers (2,313 meters) that would take 8-9 hours to reach the beautiful village Saharan in the suburbs of Shimla city. Here, the group will stay for the night in the hotel.

  • Day 04:

    Way to Sangla, Kinnaur


    The journey from Sarahan to Sangla will start to cover 87 kilometers (2,700 meters) in approx 4 hours. The route will take you through the kinnaur valley along the banks of untamed Sutlej River and through narrow roads, canyons and cliffs to baspa valley. There will be overnight stay in the tents.

  • Day 05:

    Way To Chitkul.


    – A new day dawns with a new journey planned to cover distance from Sngla to Chitkul (3,450 meters i.e. approx 40 kms in 3-4 hours) which is a little village with a great view on the Indian border with Tibet. Post lunch the bikers will start for recong peo, a village in Kalpa (2,960 meters, approx. 40kilometers in 2-3 hours) famous for apricots and apples, followed by overnight stay in the hotel.

  • Day 06:

    The day will start to cover the distance from Kalpa to Nako 3,662 meters, approx. 120 kilometers in 5-6 hours. Most of the riding will take place on highway to reach the scenic Nako Lake. Overnight stay in the tents is planned for the day.

  • Day 07

    The journey will begin for Nako – Tabo – Dhankar route which is 3,894 meters, approx. 110 kms in 7 hours. We will be entering the picturesque spiti valley, famously known as cold desert of the Himalays and then Tabo where we will visit the monasteries. And then we will reach Dhankar village for the overnight stay in a guesthouse.

  • Day 08

    The day will start to cover the distance of 3,650 meters, approx. 38 kilometers in 1-2 hours from Dhankar to Kaza. A day ride around Kaza is planned to visit ruins of Dhankar monastery and to see a heavenly view. Post lunch, a ride to Komic village is planned which is located at the highest altitude and then to kye monastery. We will ride back to Kaza for an overnight stay in the tents.

  • Day 09

    The day is planned for a ride from Kaza to Chandra Tal, which is 4,300 meters, approx. 100 kilometers will be covered in 5-6 hours. The group will be riding further into higher Himalayas and then to kunzum pass to reach serene Chandra Tal Lake via a little rough path. Camping is planned for the group 2 kilometres from the lake.

  • Day 10

    The day starts to cover the distance from Chandratal to Jispa, 3,200 meters, approx.140 kilometers in about 7 hours. The journey is along the Coast of Chandra River by riding down to lahaul village on a stretch that has several big and small water crossings to test your resolve. A night stay is planned at Jispa village in a local hotel before starting our journey to Leh-ladakh.

  • Day 11

    The day will start with a motorbike ride from Jispa to sarchu, 4,420 meters (approx.85 kilometers) in 4 hours. It is going to be an exciting day for the motor bike ride as we will be riding thorugh many hairpin bend and ride through Baralacha pass to reach Sarchu, a beautiful place between himachal and Ladakh. An overnight stay in the tents is planned for the group.

  • Day 12

    The journey of 3,524 meters (approx. 250 kilometres in 9 hours) from Sarchu to leh starts today. An exciting ride where we will cross approx.21 hairpin bend will take us to Lachlung La Pass (5,019 meters/16467 feet). Soaking in magnificent view of the mountains and the valleys we will cross Naki La Pass (4,740 meters/15,551 feet) and then will ride down the valley to Pang.
    The motor bike ride will continue to take us to Tanglang La Pass (5,360 meters/17,585 feet) which is world’s second highest motor able pass with an awe-inspiring view of Zanskar range and upper Indus valley. By late afternoon the group will reach Leh- capital of Ladakh and will have an overnight stay in the hotel.



    Day 13

    The day is planned to explore the Leh city at your own pace, riding in and around the city. This is to allow the group to unwind and relax and enjoy the beauty of the city. After a relaxing day an overnight stay is planned in the city.


    Day 14

    The day begins to ride from Leh to Khardung la Pass, world’s highest motor able road and back. It is 80 kilometers on each side and takes about 5 hours. It has the most exhilarating view and is quite a challenge to ride along this pass. An overnight stay is arranged in the hotel.


    Day 15

    It is the end of the motor bike tour and departure tour next destination with some exceptional memories.
